(Menu - San Francisco) Kuo Wah Cafe.

4 pp. 11.5x8.75", image of gold lions in front of elaborate doorways. San Francisco: July 15, 1948.

A classic Chinese-American menu, in Chinese and English, and with an entire page of cocktails in rear. Two slips of paper with specials in Chinese laid-in loose, and with business cards of three shops in Chinatown also laid-in. The cafe was located on Grant Avenue, and was famed for its large Chop Suey sign. Image of a Chinatown street mounted to upper left corner of menu cover, date written at top in ink, else very good.
