ABOUT THE AUTHOR & THEIR BOOK:
Tony Ramirez, also known as TFTI BBQ on social media, has spent nearly twenty years perfecting his backyard barbecue skills in the Bay Area of California. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Tony is self-taught, inspired by his Filipino and Cajun heritage, his beloved parents, and a passion for BBQ Pitmasters reruns, YouTube tutorials, and personal culinary experiments. What started in 2021 as a hobby of posting BBQ pictures and videos has since evolved into a full-time career, with Tony partnering with major brands like Miller Lite, Char-Griller, Reynolds Brands, and Tony Chachere’s. His unique, approachable flavor combinations and techniques, which sometimes bend traditional barbecue “rules,” have earned him a beloved spot in the live-fire BBQ community. If you’re tired of the same old recipes for the smoker and grill, consider this your invite to a whole new world of flavors.
Dan Correa is the heart and hands behind Papa Dan’s BBQ. Dan grew up in Vallejo, California, where he was lucky to be surrounded by a melting pot of cultural foods from around the world. His BBQ journey started about 10-15 years ago, grilling and smoking for family and friends. What began as a passion turned into a calling a few years ago, encouraged by some close friends to showcase his cooking on social media. Since then, Dan’s met some incredible people traveling across country, sharing his love for BBQ while learning from talented cooks across the United States and beyond. As Dan says, “BBQ is more than just food; it’s about connection. Food and fire have the unique power to bring people together, turning friends into family.”
