(Colombia) American Womens Assoc. Barranquilla Cook Book

164 + [16] ad pp. Pictorial wrappers. First Edition. Barranquilla: 1950.

A bilingual cookbook by a group of American women living in Barranquilla at mid-century. The city, Colombia's 4th largest, grew into an important port, serving as a haven for immigrants from Europe, especially during and immediately following World War I and World War II, when waves of additional immigrants from the Middle East and Asia arrived. Recipes for Colombian and American/European recipes reflect what ingredients were available in the area at the time. Much wear to wrappers, thus just good, but quite scarce.
