55 pages of recipes written in ink and pencil. Cloth covered boards in a notebook meant to be used for schoolwork). Lodi CA. c.1915. 

Many of the numerous manuscript recipes are attributed to the person the author got them from, with several from"mamma". A combination of sweet and savory dishes in no particular order: corned pork, rhubarb dessert, date torte, sour cream biscuits, wartime brownies, omelet bali bali (apparently a very popular dish at the Restaurant Mayan), plus cherry and currant conserve, mustard pickles and strawberry jam. Also includes several pages of neatly copied charts on cooking temperatures and times for breads, desserts, roasts and vegetable dishes, and undated newspaper clippings pasted in. Foxing to pages, a few rips and tears, thus good.
