(Menu - San Francisco)  The LOUVRE. Leading Restaurant and Family Resort.

Bifolium, black lettering. Full page illustration on upper wrapper. 9-3/ x 7" x 6-1/2. Brown, self wrappers. San Francisco: Albert M. Meyerfeld. July 15, 1904.

The Louvre was a French restaurant in the financial district of San Francisco. As stated on the upper wrapper, there was live music in the evenings. The Proprietor was "J. Meyerfeld". This is a menu that helps document San Francisco's food history prior to the 1906 earthquake. Chipping around edges - especially to tail, age toning and soiling, overall clean and bright.
