(Bitters) Angostura Bitters and Some of its Many Uses.
$150
/
Illus., and with large folding sheet of recipes suggestions laid-in loose, along with one extra cocktail recipe on separate loose sheet. 6x5", pictorial orange wrappers. Port of Spain, Trinidad: Angostura, 1934.
One of the scarcer Angostura booklets (because of its printing locale and fragility of wrappers), this is a gorgeously preserved copy. Recipes are for cocktails as well as meals using bitters: macedoine de fruits au Angostura, iced coffee with Angostura, Angostura barley water, thistle cocktail, Martini cocktail, Angostura ice cream, etc. Also included is the history of bitters and its uses, some history books to recommend for reference on the subject, photos of the distillery, etc. Near fine. Rare.
