First published in 1904, the revised edition contains recipes for fried ham, bacon and fried apples, barbecued lamb, Mexican steak (and several other Mexican dishes), Creole shrimp and crab, soft-shell crabs, frog legs, Southern gumbo, Canvasback duck, turnip greens with jowl and corn dumplings, truffles au supreme, okra, pie plant pie, etc. A fair copy with spots to covers, repairs to torn spine cloth; title page lacking, occasional smears & marginal tape, and with owner's contemporaneous notes to numerous recipes (enhancing them greatly).
