(Menu) Shadows of Telegraph Hill.

10.5x6" (unfolding to 17.75"). Shaped like a flophouse, in purple & yellow, with images of people in windows. San Francisco: Shadows of Telegraph Hill, c.1940's-50's.

A German-Swiss restaurant that opened in 1932 along the Filbert Street Steps, it happily looked nothing like the image on the menu, but more like a hotel in the Swiss Alps. It was in this restaurant where Alfred Hitchcock, Rod Taylor and Tippi Hedron dined regularly during the filming of "The Birds" in the early 60s. Near fine.
