(*NEW ARRIVAL*) (Mexican) Rosa [Haden] Marquesa de Castellar. Stove is My Castle. *SIGNED*
$150.00
/
Frontis. portrait of the author in her kitchen, and illus. with line drawings. Dec. cream wrappers. First Edition. Mexico: 1956.
SIGNED by Haden on the half-title. Mrs. Haden was married (her second time) to Allen Haden, a former Cultural Attache in Mexico, and spent many years in the country learning traditional Mexican cooking. Here, she offers advice and recipes for making regional dishes such as mole, fish a la Veracruzana, red snapper (huachinango), stuffed peppers, ceviche and more. A lovely and charming book. Small crease to lower left front wrapper, darkening to spine; faint stains to gutters of front endpapers, otherwise very good.
