Brown was a Los Angeles food writer who was well-connected to other West Coast cooks and authors of the day, like James Beard. The Poodle Dog Restaurant (formerly The Old Poodle Dog) was a San Francisco institution for many decades.
Staining inside and out, thus good only, but a nice association copy.
