'Round-the-World Wives was a volunteer organization which welcomed women immigrants to New Haven and helped them adjust to living in New Haven. They offered weekly programs to learn about American culture and their new community, and they were famous for the annual Tasting Party, wherein international dishes were served to members. 

Recipes include empanadas de pollo, Brazilian meringues, oshi-sushi, awauki-kan, gajar halva, Icelandic kleinur, and even Tasmanian gingerbread. 

Mild shelf wear faint spot to front cover, else very good.
