The Khwan Niamut or Nawab's Domestic Cookery (David E. Schoonover)

This cookbook, published in Calcutta in 1839 gave colonial Europeans a way to enjoy royal feasts in their own homes.

The recipes in this book were adapted from Iranian classics and offer souffles, rice dishes, grilled meats, and desserts, and also includes recipes geared to the colonial British taste.
