(*NEW ARRIVAL*) (Jewish) Kander, Mrs. Simon. The "Settlement" Cook Book.
$120.00
/
Illus. with drawings. Pictorial white cloth. Tenth Edition. Milwaukee: Mrs. James M. Pereles, [1920].
Originally published in 1901 for benefit of the "Settlement," this cookbook contains recipes from Milwaukee schools and residents, and was quietly an Ashkenazi Jewish cookbook, with recipes both American and from the homeland: gingerbread for kuchen fillings, noodle pudding, rahm struedel, pickled herring, marrow bones, etc.
Minor rubbing to spine extremities, otherwise a very good, solid copy.
