Since 2017, Queer Soup Night has been bringing people together for something simple yet powerful: soup. What started in Brooklyn as a grassroots celebration of queer culinary talent and a way to raise funds for local organizations has blossomed into a network of events around the world, each as diverse as our community. 

Queer Soup Night: The Cookbook, arriving January 2027, brings together 50 vibrant and approachable soup recipes from Queer Soup Night chefs — there’s something for every season, every occasion, and every level of cook. It also delivers a blueprint for turning something as humble as soup into an act of joyful resistance in your own life. Edited by founder and cookbook author Liz Alpern, it's a record of the first ten years of this extraordinary project and a how-to manual for creating community, practicing mutual aid, and taking inspiration from generations of queer cooks and organizers.
