An uncommon 19th c. Connecticut community cookbook, with recipes for all sorts of local fare: sandpipers, green corn pudding, baked haunch of venison, roast peacock (!), pigeon pie, ragout of squirrels, prairie chicken, nasturtium pickles, preserved martinoes, etc.
Rubbing to extremities, a couple small spots to cloth; owner's name to front pastedown, otherwise very good.
