$95.00

In 1863, Alexandre Le Grand developed a recipe for a herbal liqueur, helped by a local chemist, from old medicinal recipes that he had acquired from a religious foundation. Bénédictine Liqueur is still a classic French herbal liqueur, called for in countless classic and modern cocktails. Though the recipe is closely guarded, known ingredients include angelica root, hyssop, juniper, myrrh, saffron, mace, fir cones, aloe, arnica, lemon balm, tea, thyme, coriander, clove, lemon, vanilla, orange peel, honey, red berries, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Fine in very good, scarce envelope with Art Nouveau design of purple nasturtiums.
