Strehl Culinary Collection

Dan Strehl is an expert on foodways of Mexico, California, and the Southwest. He beautifully translated Encarnación's Kitchen: Mexican Recipes from Nineteenth-Century California in 1991. He was also manager of the Frances Howard Goldwyn Hollywood Regional Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, and is the author of The Spanish Cook (1992) and One Hundred Books on California Food and Wine (1990). His culinary collection incorporates a variety of subjects that caught his interest, from Mexico to Paris, food literature to gastronomic history. We are proud to present his treasured collection here.
