Inscribed & SIGNED by Paul Bertolli to Tom Ingalls on the half-title. Illus. from photographs by Gail Skoff. Jacket. First Edition. NY: Random House, 1988.
Inscribee Tom Ingalls was a graphic designer and typographer in San Francisco for more than 40 years. His small signature appears on the title page as well as page facing half-title. Laid-in are two Chez Panisse menus designed by Patricia Curtan, dated 1998 & 2010. There are two other pieces of illustrated ephemera from Chez Panisse laid-in as well, one advertising Balck Truffle Tuesdays in February (1986) and one advertising the publication of Flavors of Italy by Lanza (1996). Usual sunning to jacket spine chipping to jacket spine head; hinge starting to crack in middle, else very good.
