(Canadian) Bealby, J.T. Fruit Ranching in British Columbia.
$200.00
/
Illus. with 31 photographic plates, incl. double-page frontis. of Lord Aberdeen's fruit ranch. Pictorial blue cloth. Second Edition. London: Adam & Charles Black, 1911.
Adam & Charles Black published some of the most visually stunning bindings in the early 20th century, and this is no exception: A pear tree dripping with ripe fruit hangs in front of a royal blue background. The book itself explores the orchards and ranches of western Canada, including apples, pears, cherries, berries, etc. Several pressed blue flowers from 1911 between pages, and owner's name, H. Crawford, proudly signed on front pastedown, which is an ad for the Okangan Valley. Small gouge to edge of front cover, else very good.
