Warmly inscribed & signed by Lo to James & Helen Nassikas on the half-title, dated 1985. Jim Nassikas (1927-2019) was a hotelier and gastronome who opened the Stanford Court Hotel in San Francisco in 1972. There, he hosted culinary luminaries like James Beard, Julia Child, and Craig Claiborne. The Nassikas' became close friends with Eileen Yin-Fei Lo, one of the most prominent Chinese food authors in history. Laid-in are 2 signed cards from Lo to James Nassikas, and an embossed invitation to the book release party for New Cantonese Cooking at the Stanford Court.
