(*NEW ARRIVAL*) (France) G. de Pawlowski & Curnonsky. Guide Marchal du Tourisme et de la Bonne Chere: Bon Soirs d'Ete, Week-End, Grands Itineraires. *Signed*
$150.00
/
Illus. with drawings and 19 maps in two colors. Pebbled black cloth lettered in red. First Edition. N.p.: Marchal, 1930.
Warmly inscribed & signed "Au grand sportsman et gourmet" by either Curnonsky or Pawlowski (seriously impossible to tell which) to famed French race car driver Édouard Brisson, on a front flyleaf, dated 1930. This is the first edition of a planned series of guides by Marchal, which covered gastronomic tourism across France, with road maps and a list of service stations and electric charging stations. The guide includes hotels, restaurants, , and suggested itineraries, all printed in red and black. A very appropriate gift to have given to a race car driver!
Near fine.
