Mark of the agent, Nieulant Pelkman, stamped on back. A heavy but small chocolate or ice cream mould featuring a horse framed in a horseshoe.
Founded in Berlin in 1866, H. Walter was the first manufacturer of chocolate moulds in Germany. By 1900, it was one of three major German firms manufacturing metal two-piece moulds. They (along with Anton Reiche and J.G. Laurosch) became the major suppliers of moulds used in Europe and the United States. Fine and bright; rare.
