This community cookbook does not make clear who the authors or intended benefactors were, but there are a generous number of recipes for popular New England dishes of the day: Newport omelet, Aunt Sina's sponge cake, scollops [sic], eels, trout, sausages, goose, turkey, and numerous baked goods. Spine and joints well-chipped and repaired, rubbing to extremities; a few marginal ink scratches, mild foxing, else fair. Scarce.
