(*NEW ARRIVAL*) Child, Julia, Simone Beck & Louisette Bertholle. Mastering the Art of French Cooking. *Signed*
$1,200.00
/
Jacket. First Edition, Second Printing. NY: Alfred A. Knopf, 1961.
Signed by Julia Child on the half-title. First published in October 1961, this second printing quickly followed in November of the same year. Child's book quickly became a classic, bringing attention to French cooking in American homes for the first time in the mid-20th century.
Sunning to jacket spine, minor rubbing to jacket spine ends, a couple small spots to left side of front jacket panel (see photo); scattered splatters to fore-edges and occasionally internally, otherwise a very good, bright copy - a scarce, early inscribed edition.
