(Chinese - San Francisco) China Moon Cookbook. *Signed*
Illus. by Sandra Bruce. Assisted by Arminda Asprer Schreil. Dessert & bread recipes by Amy Ho. Jacket. First Edition. NY: Workman, [1992].
Inscribed & Signed in red ink by Tropp to Tom Ingalls on the front free endpaper. Fascinated by all things Chinese, Tropp learned the language, studied the food, literature, and history, and even lived in Taiwan for two years. She went on to open San Francisco's highly lauded China Moon Cafe, which succeeded until she tragically died from cancer in 2001. Tom Ingalls was a graphic designer and typographer in San Francisco for more than 40 years, and a longtime patron of the restaurant.
Ingalls' signature to verso of front free endpaper, and a postcard invitation to the book release party is laid-in, with a handwritten note to "Come by for a spring roll!" in Tropp's hand. Very good condition.
