Maryland was once considered a "Rye state," and Harry Goldsborough dove in in the year 1883, when he set up his distillery in Baltimore.
Herein is a history of the company (and of Harry Goldsborough and his Texan wife), as well as numerous recipes for cocktails such as a Zombie, Goldsborough's Apple Jack, Mint Julep, Stinger, Whiskey Flip, Fish House Punch, etc. This second half of the book is set up by punches, fizzes, rickeys, fancy drinks, etc.
