Warmly inscribed & signed by Romeo Salta on the front free flyleaf, written during a cruise on the T/S Michelangelo, jokingly proposing a future in which Salta doesn't run a restaurant but opens a swanky club and asking his inscribees to stay with him forever. 

In Italian. A beautifully illustrated Italian edition of Salta's 1962 book, The Pleasures of Eating, with tipped-in Italian wine labels and 19th c. French illustrations of humanized vegetables. This volume is rarely found intact, as the illustrations were often removed for framing. Mild rubbing to spine and small bump to spine head, otherwise very good.
