Menu, 2 pp. 11x8". Chicago: c.1930's-40's.

The Blackhawk was opened in Chicago's Loop in 1920 by restaurateur Otto Roth. Music from the Blackhawk was broadcast nationally as "Live! From the Blackhawk!", and the programs became so popular that a telegraph machine was installed so they could take remote requests. Even Mel Torme, Louis Prima and Doris Day performed there.

This menu features a classic image by the artist Edouarde.

Very faint stain to menu cover, else very good. Rare.
