We knew that we wanted to continue investigating the infinite taco culture of our country, but, if we started in Mecca, then where to continue? Intuition and a unique energy took us towards the border.

To Tijuana, city of migrants, of exchange, of dualities, of creative minds and, as we could immediately see, city of tacos. Since the days of scouting, we quickly realized that we were in the right place. The level of tacos in Tijuana – a product of all the migrations that have shaped this city since its birth – is absolute madness. Birria, fish, roast, stew, burritos, seafood... The commitment that people have with their tacos, from both sides of the cart, is total. And, for that reason alone, Tijuana deserved this book.
