Inscribed & signed by Alice Waters and menu-maker Patricia Curtan on the half-title, dated 1984. The inscribee, Floreine, was the mother of Chez Panisse cook and organic produce seller John Hudspeth. The first book published by Waters about Chez Panisse, her restaurant that at the time was barely a decade old. Pappardelle and fried eggplant, thyme blossoms with oysters and green fettuccine, lobster and scallop ravioli, and other lovely seasonal dishes. Fine.
