(*NEW ARRIVAL*) (Outdoors) James Austin Wilder. Jack-Knife Cookery
$125.00
/
Illus. with drawings by the author. Jacket. NY: E.P. Dutton, [1946].
First published in 1929, this book of outdoor cooking and survival for boys quickly became a bestseller. Wilder was a director of the National Department of Sea Scouting, and his relationship with the Boy Scouts of America drove his interest in outdoor methods of survival - most importantly, in feeding oneself.
Chipping to jacket extremities, heavily at spine head area; owner's name to upper front free endpaper, still very good.
