The hottest hotel in San Francisco at the time, the California Vintners chose to hold their annual wine tasting here in 1987. Wines were presented in several vintages by Iron Horse, Robert Pepi, Cuvaison, Clos du Bois, Silverado Vineyards, Robert Mondavi and others. Speakers included Gerald Asher, Michael Bauer, Ruth Reichl, and several vintners. A couple little wine specks, else very good.
