The Knoxville Cook Book (Frank T. Rogers, ed)
$125.00
/
Preface by Rogers. Illus. with numerous maps of Knoxville city blocks and lots. Gilt-lettered red cloth. First Edition Thus. Nashville: McQuiddy Printing, 1957.
A fascinating version of the original 1901 Knoxville Cook Book by the Knoxville Woman's Building Assoc.: this edition contains a facsimile printing of the 1901 edition, and is followed by numerous maps and names of contributors. Rogers, in his preface, writes, "In editing and republishing this book, I thought it would help to give some idea of the community of that day; hence the maps and names in the second half of the book." Rogers also includes a few pages of the history of Knoxville in 1901. A few little spots to front cover, else about very good.
