(*NEW ARRIVAL*) (Arctic) Gerasimova, Nadezhda. Traditional cuisine of the Evenki people of Southern Yakutia
$75.00
/
Illus. with photographs & maps. Pictorial boards. First Edition. N.p.: 2017.
In Russian & English. Nadezhda Gerasimova was born in a small town of Iyengra to a family of reindeer herders. In her book, she told the stories by Iyengra old inhabitants and recipes of Evenk dishes by countrymen. Nadezhda studied recipes and techniques of traditional cooking during her trips to reindeer herders’ camps. The book was presented in 2017 in the town of Neryungri. In April 2020, this unique collection of Evenk traditional dishes won the first place at the Gourmand Awards in C22 Arctic category. A bit of bumping to corners & spine foot, otherwise about fine.
