1 page. Illus. 15.5x9.75", printed image with hand-written menu. Vienne: Restaurant de La Pyramide, Sept. 27, 1969.

An large hand-written menu in the hand of Madame Point, wife of chef Fernand Point, from one of France's finest and most important restaurants. In red ink (a la carte menu) and black ink (pre-fixe). Offerings included brioche de foie gras, gratin de queues d'ecrevisses, terrine de grives, etc.

When he opened La Pyramide at the age of 24, Fernand Point had no idea he would come to be considered the father of modern French cuisine. His wife continued to run the restaurant after he died in 1955 at the relatively young age of 58.

Darker ink is faded. Tiny thumbtack pricks to corners, else very good; scarce.
