Burnt Ends Bar & Grill (Dave Pynt with Max Veenhuyzen)
Chef Dave Pynt shares the culinary secrets of Burnt Ends restaurant in this sizzling 368-page book. Burnt Ends is a modern barbecue restaurant located in the Dempsey Hill neighborhood of Singapore, and opened in 2013. It offers modern Australian grilled dishes, prepared in an open kitchen equipped with a custom-made four-ton double-cavity oven and four adjustable-height grills, with menus that change daily.
This self-published book (and absolutely stunning in its production: cloth cover, gilded edges, high-quality paper and vellum inserts...) allows you to immerse yourself in the world of Burnt Ends, meet the cool people who work behind the scenes, and soak up the festive atmosphere of this unique establishment. The restaurant has also held a Michelin star since 2018 and entered the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, ranking 93rd (and 38th in Asia) for 2025.
As for the recipes, expect dishes like egg tart (with caviar and smoked quail egg), chicken neck with white pepper, pig's ear with za'atar, king crab with brown butter, pavlova, and more.
