Contributions from “women of culture and refinement” across Alabama include Creole Fish, Black Devil Chocolate Cake, Pepper Hash, Green Tomato Pickle, Watermelon Rind Preserves, Twin Mountain Muffins, Shrimp Fritters, etc. The majority of the recipes are for baked goods and condiments. Smudges of white to spine and rear cover, spine slightly indented, else about very good, with numerous clippings and hand-written recipes between pages.
