Five printed menus, 2 pp. each, 8.5x5.5". Berkeley: Chez Panisse, 1982-83.
By the early 1980's, Chez Panisse had expanded (slightly) by including some Italian dishes such as shellfish risotto, Spanish grilled leeks in Catalan sauce, and importantly, California such as young carrot soup with chervil and Pacific salmon and oysters with lemon thyme. These menus belonged to Tom Ingalls, a graphic designer and typographer in San Francisco (and longtime CP patron) for more than 40 years, and some have his notes or stains.
