An important, early Virginia community cookbook, with ads for local businesses in West Point, Richmond, and nearby Baltimore, as well as recipes for local specialties like oyster soup, hubbard squash, quail pie, devilled crabs, fried shad, etc. 

Faint dampstain along right edge of front wrapper, irregular darkening to rear wrapper, occasional tiny chipping to extremities, but otherwise very good and bright. Scarce.
