The Chick-Fest cook-offs were sponsored by the local chamber of commerce, in coordination with the Texas poultry industry. Some of the winning entrants: Spanish chicken tamales, chicken dumplings, Texas delicious chicken, "So Different" oven fried chicken, Cherokee chicken, ring around a chicken (don't ask), arroz con pollo, etc. Fine.
