(Muslim) Elijah Muhammad. From God in Person, Master Fard Muhammad: How to Eat to Live.
$150.00
/
Jacket. First Edition. Chicago: Muhammad Mosque of Islam No. 2, [1967].
A rare first edition of Elijah Muhammad's cookbook, published at perhaps the apex of Islam's popularity in America. Short chapters on the philosophy and rules of eating as a practicing Muslim comprise the book, with titles such as "Know the Truth About the Flesh of the Swine," "A List of Foods We Must Not Eat," "Train Yourself to Eat as Allah Has Advised," "Do Not Take Birth Control Pills," "The Poisonous Animal Eater," "Fruit is Better Digested When Eaten Raw," etc. Minor chipping and short tears to jacket extremities, else very good and bright.
