(Vegetarian) C. Herman Senn. Meatless Fare and Lenten Cookery.
$75.00
/
142 pp. Blue cloth lettered in white. First Edition. London: Food & Cookery Publishing Agency, 1909.
Senn was a prolific food and cookbook writer, and this is one of a couple he wrote on vegetarian cooking. Butter bean croquettes, fried bananas, a chapter of vegetable omelets, vegetable curries, spinach souffle, savoury lobster (apparently fish didn't count as meat), caramel pudding, French apple fritters, etc. Fading to spine, rubbing to spine ends, else about very good. Scarce in first edition.
