(Connecticut) Rebekahs of Connecticut. The Handy Rebekah Cook Book.
$100.00
/
50 + [2] ad pp. Cloth-backed stiff pictorial wrappers. New London, CT: Bingham Paper Box Co., 1901.
Proceeds of the book were to be applied to the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Orphanage Fund. The creed of the Rebekahs was, “To live peaceably, do good unto all, as we have opportunity and especially to obey the Golden Rule, Whatsoever ye would that others should do unto you, do ye even so unto them.” Recipes include clam fritters and clam chowder, buttercup and daisy cake, cranberry pie, and other specialties of New England. Very good, with local ads throughout.
