Erica Schneider & Haley Samas-Berry Author Event • The Fog Eater Cookbook

Erica Schneider is the chef and co-owner of Fog Eater Cafe in Mendocino, California. Originally from Nashville, she began cooking in New York City before continuing her culinary life in New Orleans. Nearly a decade ago, she moved to Mendocino with the dream of opening a cafe with her dearest friend, where they serve locally sourced, organic Southern vegan food. Outside the kitchen, Erica loves cats and spends much of her free time mushroom hunting along the Northern California coast.

Haley Samas-Berry is the co-owner of Fog Eater Cafe in Mendocino, California. Originally from Mendocino, she spent years working in restaurants and bars in New York City, New Orleans, and San Francisco, with a focus on wine and spirits, while also practicing classical ballet. Returning home to open a cafe with her best friend, Erica, had long been a dream. Outside of work, Haley enjoys spending time with her fiancé and sparkly daughter on the coast or in the garden.

The self published cookbook is a collection of recipes served at the cafe written by Erica Haley  - copies will be available for purchase at the event!

Fog Eater Cafe is a Southern Vegetarian restaurant in the glittering seaside town of Mendocino, California. Run by two best friends and their wonderful staff, Fog Eater opened in 2019 and has been serving food that is better than anyone expected ever since. The name "Fog Eater" comes from a nearly extinct local dialect called Boontling, and is a lighthearted jab at people who live on the misty coast. But fog also feeds redwoods and wild mushrooms, so we're going to keep eating it for as long as we can.
