[1], 66 + numerous ad and memo pages for manuscript recipes. Red-brown cloth. First Edition. Athol, MA: Ladies Society of the M.E. Church, [1886].
A community cookbook for Athol, with instructions on etiquette and numerous recipes. In addition to some wonderful illustrated ads for local businesses, there are many period manuscript baking recipes written in pencil on memo pages and flyleaves, including cranbery [sic] pie, hard gingerbread, Dolly Varden cake, onion cake, raised doughnuts, etc. Rubbing to cloth, with some spots to front cover, else good.
