*NEW* P & O Lines. S.S. "Strathnaver" Luncheon Menu - Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-Ay!
$35.00
/
Illus. with image of Burlesque performers and popping Champagne, by Kay Stewart. 8.25x5.5". [Southampton]: Oct. 25, 1953.
Number 5 in a series of menus titled "12 well-known Old English Music Hall Songs" - this one titled "Ta-Ra-Ra-Boom-De-Ay!" A lengthy history of the song and its various performances (including by Lottie Collins, the American singer who introduced the song to England) printed on verso.
P & O Lines employed numerous Indian cooks, thus most menus include an Indian dish or two; this one offers Bengal curry with rice. Very good.
